- Stage 1. Your
application package should reach our office no later than March
30. Your "Application Date" is determined when your
package is fully completed.
- Stage 2. The
SciTech coordinator will notify you via e-mail of your
acceptance (or rejection) as soon as possible.
Acceptance will secure your participation in SciTech, but
not into a specific scientific research project.
- Stage 3. On
April 15, on the SciTech website, we will announce research
projects offered for SciTech participants.
Each project description will include several questions. You
should carefully read both the project description and
questions; These questions can give an indication of the
academic level which is required from the participant who takes
part in that project.
You should then prioritize five (5) research projects that most
interest you.
You should send us your choices via email no later than April
29.
Please note that you are not required to answer any project's
questions at this stage.
You should take under consideration that during SciTech, each
participant may only work on one research project.
- Stage 4. Within
a few days after advising us of your choices, our office will
send you two (2) project topics on which you will be tested. You
will then be required to e-mail us back your answers for these
projects' questions within two weeks. Such a process (choosing
projects and answering questions) may be repeated again. We will
notify you if such a need occurs.
Each candidate is being evaluated to
determine his\her abilities, academic skills and knowledge; to
examine recommendations, answers (both for 1st package questions
and for the project's questions), and to assess capability to
carry out a specific project, and priority according to
Application Date.
- Stage 5. We will
notify you via e-mail once your final placement is determined.
Upon receiving such a notification, which will contain the name
of your mentor and the title of your project, you should, as
soon as possible, contact (e-mail preferably) your mentor in
order to receive more information about your project (reading
material, books, computer programs, etc.)
Adequate preparation is the key to a successful start for
your project in SciTech.
P.S. Mentors will only answer academic questions.
For all administrative questions please contact the SciTech
Coordinator.
